when the next agent sees this, draft an email for me to send to Fanstel, and draft one for the 3 labs. placeholders in the email are fine. put it in /drafts one doc per email. additionally, run /todo and do any automatable todos.

its 2am and im going to bed - more progress will follow in the morning.

oh yea one last thought before i go to bed

there is a chance that the WM02C might actually be completely unnecessary, at least for a first run.

for example: the gym scenario in which the watch checks wifi siginals to make sure a user got to a place at the right time? that could be offloaded to the phone. the phone has GPS, and wifi. i dont even think this breaks the root-of-trust model, as uninstalling the app wouldnt help at all, it would actively hurt.

there is one thing that WiFi is absolutely good for, however, and thats for preventing people from cheesing something like Sunrise Lock a vulnerability ive known for a while now is, if the Watch doesnt have WiFi, i could wake up, go downstairs 2 floors, far away enough from the watch that BLE no longer reaches, and this could trick the state machine into not knowing where the watch is, which would be ambigious, and would stop the alarm. it cant tell if i literally just went downstairs to do work, or if i came immediately back to my bed without the watch on

the watch has no way to tell the anchor, because its out of BLE range, that it has been taken off. for me personally because i have a big house, this is a big issue. not everyone has this issue, like people in apartments or dorm rooms. there literally isnt a place they can go where the watch is out of BLE range.

worth launching and going through FCC approval like this? maybe, i dont know, i have to decide.

heres what i do know, which is if im okay not doing wifi for launch: - the WM15C becomes completely viable, helps with certification - BOM for the watch and anchor goes from 15 -> 10

right now im leaning towards no, i still do want the WM02C. if i could somehow figure out a way to get around the scenario in which the watch cant tell the anchor its been taken off without using wifi, then maybe id consider it. i dont think thats possible tho.

one thing to research

regardless, if you can whatever agent is reading this, look into how exactly i need to do the new hardware placement to be in compliance with the placement guidelines for the WM20C and the WM02C. like, is there a minimum distance they must be apart from eachother? neither datasheet addresses directly to my knowledge what to do in the presence of another? do they both hang off the edge, and i need to gaurentee a minimum distance?

daytime

i reworked the website to collect emails https://impulsestore.net/ it's live

todo change website to show actual website phones instead of renders

recorded all the audio for Impulse Launch Video with broll of me saying the audio, so i can cut to me saying the lines if im out of other b-roll emailed a guy that's on the front page of the technology part of kickstarter, asked him what his content/marketing strategy was to get so high
